Van Vliet Transport has been a dynamic company since it was founded in 1957 and has proven to be very successful ever since.

Van Vliet Transport was founded in 1957 by M. van Vliet.

Business started in Kockengen and the company relocated first to De Meern and then to IJsselstein.

In 1987, the company moved to Nieuwegein and by 1990, had grown to 250 employees and a fleet of 100 vehicles.

Fomula 2000

One of our customers, Strapex from Maarssenbroek, was looking for a Formula 2000 sponsor. At first, Van Vliet Transport regarded this as being an attractive proposition. Unfortunately, the car did not perform as well as intended. After additional financial investment, the car performed so well that its driver parked into the crash barrier at the Zolder race circuit in Belgium! End of sponsorship contract.

First Premises in IJsselstein
Van Vliet Transport's first newly constructed premises on the Energieweg in IJsselstein. After only a few years, new premises had to be found due to the company's explosive growth. Construction of our current premises commenced at the end of 2005.
